HealthyIsNow
Our first initiative was to create a bike program at our residential boarding high school, The Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics, and Humanities. Through the program HealthyIsNow, MedEDU donated four bikes to the school to promote health and wellness in a fun manner.
This video provides a basic introduction of the new American standard of healthy eating, MyPlate.
We provide a video summary of the HealthyIsNow Seminar 1: Fitness and Food, where we invited dietitian Mrs. Agarwal to speak on healthy eating in a campus setting.
Zika Awareness
The main purpose of this program was spread Zika awareness throughout the community. Our Lafayette chapter hosted a information session on the Zika virus at a collegiate fair, where students were encouraged to test their knowledge on Zika and learn more about the disease.
